If you like spicy food you have to try this place! I went on a Saturday around 4 so it wasn't super crowded. We were seated promptly and received attentive service from the staff trying to get our order. There is instrumental Vietnamese music playing in the background that really gives the place an authentic and homey feel. I can't handle spicy food and the bun bo hue dac biet had me CRYING. I was shedding tears and dabbing my nose every bite. Even though I got a small, I received a generous portion with lots of meat. I feel like most places tend to skimp out on the meat but that was not the case with this place at all. There are complimentary bean sprouts, lime, and possibly onions given on a separate plate to add to your noodles. The noodles were absolutely amazing and cooked perfectly. The nuoc mia (sugarcane juice) had a very strong hint of orange, so if you want some pure sugarcane juice there's a place nearby in the Grand Century Mall to get your fix.

This place has the best bun Bo hue I've ever had and the service is pretty good for an Asian place. The broth has a distinct flavor that separates this shop from all the others. There's a strong beefy and slightly shrimpy taste that brings all the noodles and meats together. The noodles are always slippery and soft with a small amount of chewiness. The bowl comes with chili and shrimp paste to add to your liking Great place to visit. I come back almost every time I'm in San jose

Visited on the recommendation of a friend & so glad we did. We were very lucky to find a spot right in front in the busy parking lot. There was a waiting list set up but the hostess waved us right in and we got a seat immediately. It's a large place. We ordered the #1 Spicy Beef broth and #7 Pho. Both were served quickly with sides of herbs and dipping sauces. For the Beef broth fermented shrimp paste, chili oil, mint & sprouts; for the Pho hoisin and sriracha, basil and sprouts. Both were absolutely delicious, so much so that I had the wonderful flavors and textures (soft tendon, pork blood & -paste...) on my mind for a couple of days. Friendly and quick service

Not sure what you want from me here. The food to get here is their namesake! Get the Bun Bo Hue and you'll be happy. It wasn't the best I've ever had and I haven't tried anything else at this place but I'm happy with the restaurant. Expect your classic Asian neighborhood restaurant and don't focus on how it looks or service. They are on par and I have no issues.
